Premier League Betting Tips: Vital points on offer at both ends of the table

5 April 2024

Gameweek 32 is upon us in the Premier League and the title race remains as tight as ever and a few teams are looking over their shoulder down at the foot of the table. We have you covered for tips in our tipsheet.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Kick-off: 12:30 Saturday, TNT Sports

Pep Guardiola took a gamble on Wednesday as he rested some of his big hitters for the visit of Aston Villa.

Manchester City cruised to a 4-1 victory thanks to a Phil Foden hattrick. Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones didn’t have to play a single minute and Pep looked like a genius.

The Cityzens head to the Bernabeu on Tuesday for the Champions League quarter final but have to maintain their title challenge with a trip to Crystal Palace.

Now well rested, this could see the likes of Haaland and De Bruyne return to get their eye in ahead of the trip to Spain and City should cruise past the Eagles.

Prediction: Manchester City Asian Handicap -1.5 @ 1.90

Brighton vs Arsenal

Kick-off: 17:30 Saturday, Sky Sports

Mikel Arteta also had an eye on the Champions League next week as he rotated for the Luton game in midweek.

No doubt, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Gabriel Martinelli will all come back in on Saturday and the Gunners juggle a domestic title race with continental silverware.

This could disrupt the visitors' side and against Brighton, it could be a low margin affair.

The Gunners last three games have seen just three goals, all of which have come in the first half. I suspect Arsenal may look to start quickly and then shut up shop ahead of the visit of Bayern.

Prediction: Arsenal Half-Time Result @ 2.16

Manchester United vs Liverpool

Kick-off: 15:30 Sunday, Sky Sports

Mohamed Salah loves playing against Manchester United.

The Egyptian has 14 goal contributions in 12 league appearances and this includes two braces and a hattrick.

Considering he also has a goals per 90 average of 0.61, I think he is worth backing to take home another match ball this Sunday.

As Man Utd proved at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, they are pure chaos. That was the sixth time this year they have scored at least three and the Red Devils have only kept four clean sheets.

Prediction: Mohamed Salah Hat-trick @ 17.50

Sheffield United vs Chelsea

Kick-off: 17:30 Sunday

Sheffield United may be going down with a whimper but they have been making a fist of their games recently.

The Blades have scored six times in their last three games and squandered six points by failing to hold on to two goal advantages on two occasions.

Although it will frustrate Chris Wilder, he will draw encouragement from his side's spirit.

As the odds reflect, Chelsea should have enough quality to dispatch of the South Yorkshire outfit but the Blades recent form shows they can bloody the nose of mid-table sides, especially on their own patch.

Prediction: BTTS & Over 2.5 @ 1.88

Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest

Kick-off: 18:00 Sunday, Sky Sports

Nottingham Forest’s win over Fulham in midweek ended a run of seven games without a win and hoisted Nuno Espirito Santo’s side three points clear of the drop.

Sunday’s visitors will be keen to build on that momentum but chances of a six-point week look slim.

Next on the roster is Tottenham and given the hosts' form, Forest may be leaving North London empty handed.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have European ambitions of their own to tend to and start the weekend two points behind fourth placed Aston Villa having played a game less.

Spurs have won all of their five games with the bottom four and three of those games have seen BTTS.

Prediction: Tottenham & BTTS @ 2.50
