SBK ambassadors Richard Kingscote, Sean Levey, Nicola Currie and George Boughey have a handful of chances this weekend. We caught up with them for a quick chat about their runners.
Richard Kingscote, jockey: “Thunder Flash (2.45 Leicester) got his head in front last time when cheekpieces were fitted and I’m hoping that he will be even better with the visor on. I thought he still held back a bit when I rode him here 9 days ago and hopefully I stay on him after the race this time!”.
Thunder Flash is currently available at 5 on SBK.
Sean Levey, jockey: “Heredia has been in great form since her win at Royal Ascot. It makes perfect sense to take in a Listed race (3.00 Sandown) after winning a competitive handicap, and she’s got a good draw. Although it’s a stiffer finish at Sandown, she should be winning this race.”
Heredia is currently available at 2.24 on SBK.
Nicola Currie, jockey: “Dream Harder heads to Nottingham (8.00) on Saturday evening. He was a bit disappointing on his first run this season off a long layoff after being gelded, but he seems to have come into himself at home since and the step up in trip back on turf will be in his favour. He will appreciate any rain that is forecast and we’re hopeful that he can get back on track.”
Dream Harder is currently available at 8.6 on SBK.
George Boughey, trainer: “Oscula (3.00 Sandown) is in great shape. She seems to have bounced back to her two-year-old form after disappointing in Saudi Arabia in the winter. I think this track will suit her and, although she has to carry a penalty for her win at Carlisle, she seems to have taken the race very well and we go there with a good chance.”
Oscula is currently available at 7 on SBK.
