SBK ambassadors Richard Kingscote, Sean Levey, Nicola Currie and George Boughey have a handful of chances this weekend. We caught up with them for a quick chat about their runners.
Richard Kingscote, jockey: “Hebrides (7.15 Doncaster) is having a good year and I think he’s unfortunate not to be unbeaten in three starts. He found one too good at Chester but he should be much happier at Doncaster.”
Hebrides is currently available at 1.9 on SBK.
Sean Levey, jockey: “Happy Romance loves Newbury and won this race (2.56 Newbury) last year. This drop in grade will help her after running in three Group 1s on her last three starts. The only concern is the quick turnaround from the July Cup last week, but, if she takes to it fine, she appears to have a big chance.”
Happy Romance is currently available at 5.3 on SBK.
Nicola Currie, jockey: “Clement Danes heads to Doncaster for the mile handicap (8.45). She is a lightly raced filly and, although she seemed very disappointing last time out, the ground at Yarmouth was slower than she would’ve liked. We’re back on better ground and she should have a good chance if she bounces back to her Chepstow run.”
Clement Danes is currently available at 7.4 on SBK.
George Boughey, trainer: “Koy Koy (2.51 Newmarket) has only been with us a short while after moving from the Andrew Balding yard. He ran a massive race in the Britannia at Royal Ascot, a race that has already worked out really well. His work has been good and I think the trip will suit him. There are some good pace angles in the race and I hope that he gets some cover. If he does, he should be very competitive.”
Koy Koy is currently available at 2.6 on SBK.
