SBK ambassadors Richard Kingscote, Nicola Currie, Sean Levey and Classic-winning trainer George Boughey are back in action this weekend and we caught up with them for a quick chat about their runners and rides.
Richard Kingscote, jockey: “Stormy Antarctic is more than capable of winning his race (2.15 Goodwood) and the more rain the better for him. He won this race on soft ground last year and has the form in the book to be very competitive, so hopefully he gives me a good spin.”
Stormy Antarctic is currently available at 7 on SBK.
Sean Levey, jockey: “Lulworth Cove is a nice filly - she’s sharp and has shown a bit at home. We’re really looking forward to running her at Goodwood (1.10), but we hope that the ground dries up a bit so that it’s not too soft.”
Lulworth Cove is currently available at SP on SBK.
Nicola Currie, jockey: "I'm very much looking forward to riding Just Hubert at Haydock (2.00). He ran creditably at Ascot on his last run over 1m4f when there was a stop-start pace, and he's back up in trip here. That should really suit him and he looks to have a good chance.”
Just Hubert is currently available at 8.8 on SBK.
George Boughey, trainer: “Evocative Spark has unfortunately drawn wide at Goodwood (1.45), but he’s in super shape and I think he’ll handle the track well. He was a good winner at Beverley last time and seemed to stay the 7½f well. He’ll be suited by the drop in trip and we will make plenty of use of him. The ground is a question mark, but he has shown form on all surfaces so far and goes there with a good chance.”
Evocative Spark is currently available at 5.9 on SBK.
