The September international break is almost upon us, but there is one round of Premier League fixtures left to fulfil before then. Here is our preview of five games taking place this weekend.
Kick-off: 12.30pm Saturday, TNT Sports
We are only in September but the atmosphere will be tense at Bramall Lane when these two sides meet in the early kick-off on Saturday. Neither Sheffield United nor Everton has picked up a point yet and the winner here will be able to pull clear of the bottom three.
Sheffield United have only scored two goals in their three games to date, while Everton are yet to find the net. One goal might be enough to win this match.
Prediction: Under 1.5 goals at 3
Kick-off: 3pm Saturday
Tottenham have made a fine start to life under Ange Postecoglou and they will be looking for their third victory on the bounce against Burnley.
The Clarets have had a tough start to life back in the top flight, as Vincent Kompany looks to integrate 13 new signings. Burnley will need to tighten up for the visit of Spurs, but even that might not be enough to avoid defeat.
Prediction: Tottenham to win at 1.94
Kick-off: 3pm Saturday
Against Sheffield United last weekend, Manchester City’s backline was breached for the first time this season as Jayden Bogle beat Ederson. That was one of only a handful of chances the Blades created, and City did a good job of holding them at arm’s length.
Fulham have made a solid start to the campaign and will be feeling positive after a 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out. City, you feel, will not be as generous defensively as the Gunners.
Prediction: Manchester City to win to nil at 1.84
Kick-off: 3pm Saturday, Sky Sports
After a 5-1 thumping of Aston Villa in gameweek one, Newcastle have suffered back-to-back defeats by Manchester City and Liverpool. They now have another tough game on the horizon with a visit to Brighton.
The Seagulls were beaten 3-1 by West Ham United last time out, with David Moyes’ men delivering a counter-attacking masterclass. But Brighton should control this match and we fancy their chances of emerging triumphant.
Prediction: Brighton to win at 2.6
Kick-off: 4.30pm Sunday, Sky Sports
The standout contest of the Premier League weekend is also the last one. Arsenal won this fixture 3-2 last term and we anticipate another entertaining encounter between this pair.
Both teams have looked better going forward than defensively so far this season. Bear in mind, too, that each of the last four meetings between Arsenal and Manchester United have featured goals at both ends and at least three in total.
Prediction: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 1.85
Sheffield United vs Everton: Under 1.5 goals at 3
Burnley vs Tottenham: Tottenham to win at 1.94
Man City vs Fulham: Man City to win to nil at 1.84
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Newcastle United: Tip: Brighton to win at 2.6
Arsenal vs Manchester United: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 1.85
