The USA have stuttered rather than soared so far in the tournament and they'll be keen to put on an impressive performance against Portugal on Tuesday, not least to help with their goal-difference over the Netherlands in Group E.
Elsewhere on a busy morning of action, goals could well be on the cards as Vietnam face the aforementioned Netherlands and England can wrap up Group D providing they avoid defeat against China.
Football expert Greg Lea is on hand to break down all the action with tips and insight as the group games come to a close.
Kick-off: 8am Tuesday
The winner of Group E will theoretically have an easier draw in the round of 16, although the USA would back themselves to beat any of Italy, Sweden, Argentina or South Africa. Nevertheless, the defending champions will be keen to secure top spot just in case.
To do so they must maintain their goal-difference advantage over the Netherlands: both teams have four points but the USA’s +3 tally is superior to the Dutch’s +1.
The Americans have not hit top form at the tournament yet, but they do not tend to give much away defensively. Portugal will qualify with a win, but a defeat to nil is more likely.
Prediction: USA to win to nil @ 1.75
Kick-off: 8am Tuesday
Vietnam will depart New Zealand with their heads held high. They acquitted themselves well despite losing 3-0 to the USA on matchday one, while their resilience and grit was also on display in a 2-0 defeat by Portugal.
Vietnam could take a few more risks against the Netherlands given they have already been eliminated. They will hope to score their first World Cup goal, but that may leave them more open defensively.
Goals could be on the cards in this one, particularly as a big win could see the Netherlands climb above the USA
Prediction: Over 4.5 goals @ 1.85
Kick-off: 12pm Tuesday
England will wrap up top spot in Group D if they avoid defeat by China, who realistically need to win to stand a chance of progressing to the round of 16.
Back-to-back 1-0 victories over Haiti and Denmark were solid rather than spectacular, but consecutive clean sheets will delight Sarina Wiegman, whose team possesses valuable tournament-winning experience after Euro 2022.
All four games in this group have finished 1-0, so another low-scoring affair is a distinct possibility at the Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide.
Prediction: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.84
Kick-off: 12pm Tuesday
Haiti have not yet been eliminated from the World Cup despite two defeats on the bounce, but their chances of a knockout round berth are slim. The Central Americans must win handsomely here and hope England beat China.
Haiti are yet to find the back of the net but they have shown plenty of promise in attack, and this could be the game in which they finally open their account for the tournament.
Denmark need to win to be sure of a place in the next round, so both teams to score looks like the way to go.
Prediction: Both teams to score @ 2.45
Portugal v USA: USA to win to nil @ 1.75
Vietnam v Netherlands: Over 4.5 goals @ 1.85
China v England: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.84
Haiti v Denmark: Both teams to score @ 2.45
