Sunday’s Premier League Tips: Jesus can guide Arsenal past Liverpool

Sunday’s Premier League action begins with a relegation battle between Leeds and Crystal Palace, before Arsenal travel to Anfield to face Liverpool. Peter Galindo previews the matches.
Kick-off: 2pm Sunday
Leeds and Palace might be 12th and 13th respectively, but they sit no more than three points above the relegation zone ahead of Easter weekend.
That makes this match-up all the more crucial. The winners would surely avoid any danger for at least the next few weeks and, despite the tension, this could make for an entertaining game. That is because the last four Leeds matches have featured more than 2.5 goals, with the Whites bagging multiple goals in three of those matches.
Palace’s attack could be severely hampered with Wilfried Zaha’s injury. He suffered a groin issue last weekend and is likely ruled out for Sunday, so the visitors will have an uphill battle here.
Then again, Leeds haven’t kept a clean sheet in the league in five straight games, so there could be a guarantee of goals to start Sunday’s doubleheader.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals @ 2.28
Kick-off: 4.30pm Sunday
Manchester City have a game in hand over Arsenal, who remain eight points clear in the standings. All the more reason for the Gunners to maintain their strong form on Sunday.
It won’t be easy, though. Liverpool might be inconsistent this season, but their record at Anfield is still imposing. The Reds have only suffered one defeat while accumulating nine wins at home. On the flip side, Arsenal own the best away record in the Premier League this season with 34 points earned from a possible 42 so far.
The reverse fixture was a thriller, with Arsenal edging the final result 3-2. Arsenal have scored at least three times in their last five league matches, while Liverpool’s matches against the ‘big six’ have been pretty high-scoring as well.
Gabriel Jesus’ return has reinvigorated Arsenal. The Londoners have scored 11 goals in three games since their star striker has been available so, despite the daunting Anfield factor and possibility of a goal fest, the visitors should be able to ride the momentum towards another key victory.
Prediction: Arsenal to win and Over 2.5 goals @ 3.25
Leeds United v Crystal Palace: Over 2.5 goals @ 2.28
Liverpool v Arsenal: Arsenal to win and Over 2.5 goals @ 3.25
