Festive football comes thick and fast at this time of year and we have another five tips for you for this round of Premier League matches.
Kick-off: 15:00 Tuesday
It is strange to think but at the start of November the Cherries were in the relegation zone, they had just been thumped 6-1 at the Etihad and were only two points off the foot of the table.
Fast forward six games and they have not lost since, only dropping two points from the 18 available.
There were clearly some teething issues for Andoni Iraola but now he has implemented his style and the players are pulling in the right direction, not least Dominic Solanke. The frontman bagged his first career hat-trick at the City Ground in his last game taking him to 11 goals for the campaign, only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haland have more.
Prediction: Dominic Solanke Anytime Goalscorer @ 2.68
Kick-off: 15:00 Tuesday
Upon his return to S2, Chris Wilder is averaging a point per game. Impressive considering the average his predecessor managed and the schedule, the Blades have played Liverpool, Brentford, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
Sheffield United remain rooted to the foot of the table though, three points behind Luton and five points from safety underpinning the significance of this Boxing Day clash.
At Villa Park, Wilder did not start James McAtee, Oli McBurnie or Gustavo Hamer but the trio should all come in here and it is the latters price for a card that appeals. The midfielder has four cards to his name this term and will be in the thick of the action at Bramall Lane.
Prediction: Gustavo Hamer Card @ 2.60
Kick-off: 20:00 Tuesday
Aston Villa, the best home side in the division, welcomed Sheff Utd on Friday, the worst side on the road, and victory would have seen them go top of the table. A 1-1 draw foiled that and the irony certainly wasn’t lost on me.
Nevertheless, Unai Emery's side spent Christmas in third, a point off the top of the division and given their start to the season, their price at Old Trafford looks a little odd.
Manchester United have lurched from one disaster to another. Victory over Chelsea was their only one in seven, over a period which has seen them crash out of all European competitions.
Prediction: Aston Villa to win @ 2.66
Kick-off: 19:30 Wednesday
Roy Hodgson masterclass? I think so.
Crystal Palace are averaging a point per game and have not won of their last seven but that does not tell the whole story.
The Eagles have had a brutal schedule, playing Bournemouth, Liverpool, Man City and Brighton in their last four games.
They led against title contenders Liverpool until the game was spun on its head in the 75th minute with a soft Jordan Ayew red card, the Reds scored a minute after his dismissal and a minute into injury time to win the game.
The Eagles then fought from two goals down to get a point at the Etihad the next game. A trip to Stamford Bridge won’t daunt them, Chelsea have only won three league games there this season.
Prediction: Crystal Palace Double Chance @ 2.28
Kick-off: 19:30 Thursday
Roberto De Zerbi’s side only lost two of their opening seven games but have only won two of the following 13. Injuries and European duty are a contributing factor, no doubt but the tail off has seen the Seagulls slump to 9th in the table.
Next up is Tottenham, maximum points from their last three, scoring eight in the process. Heung-Min Son has had a hand in four of those bagging what proved to be the match winner against Everton and his 11th of the season.
Prediction: Heung-Min Son Anytime Goalscorer @
