England face North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday, but there are plenty of other games scheduled across the continent and football writer Greg Lea has compiled his best bets.
Kick-off: 7.45pm Monday
Another victory for France on Monday would put them on the brink of securing a place at the 2024 European Championships - a tournament they are antepost favourites to win. Didier Deschamps’ side beat Gibraltar 3-0 on Friday to make it nine points from nine at the start of this qualifying campaign.
Greece are only three points back after a crucial 2-1 victory against the Republic of Ireland in their last game, but this will be a trickier encounter. Keeping the score down will not be easy against this free-flowing French forward line.
Prediction: Over 3.5 goals @ 2.68
Kick-off: 7.45pm Monday
Northern Ireland are already up against it in their bid to qualify for Euro 2024 following back-to-back defeats by Finland and Denmark. Group H is very tight, though, and a victory here would keep them in contention for a little while longer.
Kazakhstan stunned Denmark in March and then beat San Marino on Friday, so they occupy a top-two berth for now. After scoring six goals in their last two outings, the visitors may be quietly confident of getting something from this game.
Prediction: Both teams to score @ 2.18
Kick-off: 7.45pm Monday
That loss to Kazakhstan was a poor result for Denmark, but they still occupy top spot thanks to wins against Finland and Northern Ireland. It would be a surprise if Kasper Hjulmand’s side did not go on to win the group from here.
Slovenia should not be underestimated, but a 2-0 loss to Finland on Friday shows they are very much beatable. Denmark will look to start quickly and I’m tipping them to be ahead at the interval.
Prediction: Denmark win first half @ 2.52
Kick-off: 7.45pm Monday
Switzerland have taken control of Group I, winning three matches out of three while scoring 10 goals and conceding just one. Surprisingly, it was Andorra rather than Belarus or Israel that succeeded in breaching the Swiss’ backline.
Romania have seven points from nine and will be eyeing a spot at Euro 2024, but they will find it difficult to penetrate their opponents’ rearguard in this one. Back Switzerland to march on with a victory to nil.
Prediction: Switzerland to win to nil @ 2.14
Kick-off: 7.45pm Monday
After a promising start to their qualification campaign, Wales suffered a humbling 4-2 home defeat by Armenia on Friday. They will need to recover quickly from that setback as Monday’s match could be pivotal to their hopes of reaching next summer’s competition.
Turkey have punched below their weight for years but there is still talent within their squad. In front of a passionate home crowd in Samsun, they could have too much for Rob Page’s men.
Prediction: Turkey to win @ 1.9
France v Greece: Over 3.5 goals @ 2.68
Northern Ireland v Kazakhstan: Both teams to score @ 2.18
Slovenia v Denmark: Denmark win first half @ 2.52
Switzerland v Romania: Switzerland to win to nil @ 2.14
Turkey v Wales: Turkey to win @ 1.9
