Group E takes centre stage in this tipsheet, with Romania facing Ukraine before group favourites Belgium play Slovakia. A mammoth clash between France and Austria in a tough-looking D takes centre stage this evening. Goals have been the theme of the tournament so far and this tipsheet continues this trend, with three goal-scorer picks selected.

Romania head into this summer’s tournament full of optimism. Eduard Iordanescu’s side were impressive in qualifying, finishing five points ahead of a Switzerland side who started their Euro 2024 campaign with a resounding 3-1 over dark horses Hungary.
They also remained unbeaten in their qualifying group, conceding just five times, so are definitely a force to be reckoned with. While Belgium are the clear favourites to win Group E, there is an intriguing battle to be had for the stragglers, one I expect Ukraine to just edge.
Ukraine are a side littered with quality. In goal, Andriy Lunin enjoyed a stellar campaign for Real Madrid in place of the injured Thibaut Courtois. Defensively, they have plenty of talent in Oleksandr Zinchenko, Illya Zabaryni, and Mykola Matviyenko to name a few.
However, it is their attacking prowess that intrigues me the most. Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk provides pace and flair on the wing, while Georgiy Sudakov is a wily operator in the ten.
The crown jewel of the lot though is Artem Dovbyk. Fresh off a 24-goal, golden boot-winning season for Girona, a lot of pressure weighs on the 26-year-old shoulders to provide the goals and see Ukraine through to the next round.
He averaged 0.83 goals per 90 from an xG of 0.84, averaging 2.94 shots and 1.59 shots on target per 90. Dovbyk scored in the two pre-tournament friendlies against Poland and Moldova and will be looking to bring this form into Monday’s game.
Prediction: Artem Dovbyk to score @ 2.84

Belgium top the betting in this group and are priced as 1.50 to win against perennial underdogs Slovakia.
Domenico Tedesco’s side enjoyed a successful qualifying campaign, remaining unbeaten and drawing just twice, despite contending with Austria and Sweden.
While the ‘golden generation’ of yesteryears are in the past, Belgium have a well-balanced side, ready to challenge the likes of France, England and Portugal for the title.
Belgium look particularly strong in attacking areas – especially when playing a 4-2-3-1 formation. Orel Mangala and Amadou Onana provide steel, physicality and tenacity in a double pivot in midfield, allowing the front four to flourish. On the right of the four is Leandro Trossard. Arsenal’s super sub scored 12 goals from 18 starts this season and provides a different outlet than that of Jeremy Doku on the left. The 22-year-old is quick, direct and full of running.
In the ‘number 10’ role is Kevin De Bruyne. Despite an injury ridden season, the 32-year-old still laid on 10 assists in 15 Premier League starts. Romelu Lukaku will be licking his lips at the prospect of having the aforementioned trio supplying him.
The 31-year-old is Belgium’s record scorer, boasting 85 goals in 115 caps. The Belgian brute scored four goals in the last European Championship, with three of goals coming in the group stage. He is also coming into this tournament in a rich vein of form, having scored 21 goals in 47 appearances for a struggling Roma side this season.
He was also the highest scorer in qualifying for the tournament, scoring a mammoth 14 goals – 10 more than anyone else in their group.
Tedesco’s side will see a game against Slovakia as the perfect opportunity to assert their dominance in the group. If Belgium do run riot, expect Romelu Lukaku to be at the forefront.
Prediction: Romelu Lukaku to score @ 2.05

Despite England being the SBK favourites to win the Euros, it is fair to say that France are many peoples picks to win their third European Championship and their first since 2000.
Didier Deschamps side were deeply unlucky in Qatar, losing to Argentina on penalties in the final, so will be keen to ensure the streets of France are partying come July 14.
Les Bleus have a squad that is the envy of many nations in the tournament. But most notably of all is Kylian Mbappe.
Arguably the best player in the world at the moment, the 25-year-old comes into this season off the back of a 44-goal season for PSG. He already has 329 career goals and 17 trophies in a star-studded career thus far.
Understandably, this prompted Real Madrid to move for the French superstar, so Mbappe now has the chance to write himself in Galactico history.
Mbappe still boasts an untouchable legacy for France. He’s scored 47 goals in just 79 caps, including a hat-trick in the final and a phenomenal eight goals throughout the tournament.
If France are to win this summer's tournament, Kylian Mbappe will be at the front of it.
Prediction: Kylian Mbappe to score @ 1.99
