Romania were happy to play out a 1-1 draw in their last game against Slovakia. The point was enough for them to secure first place in Group E with all four teams in the group finishing on four points. They would have hoped for an easier draw in the last 16 as a result but the Dutch have looked far from unbeatable.
Ronaldo Koeman’s side managed to win their opening match against Poland but it was all downhill from there. The Netherlands were happy with their 0-0 draw against France in their second game but it was a toothless display. Austria almost blew them away in the early stages of their final group game. The Dutch managed to recover but still ended up losing 3-2.
With the Netherlands looking fragile, we are backing Bart Verbruggen to make at least three saves in this match. This bet landed in all three of their group matches with the goalkeeper averaging four saves per game. Poland finished bottom of Group D but were still able to force six saves from Verburggen.
Romania forced an average of 3.33 saves per game in the group stages. This bet landed in two of those matches. The exception was the 3-0 win over Ukraine but the commanding lead meant they showed little in the way of attacking impetus as the game wore on.
Recommended Bet: Over 2.5 saves for Bart Verbruggen at 1.98

Austria earned plenty of plaudits for the way they performed in the group stages and rightly so. They managed to finish above both France and the Netherlands. They now have a golden opportunity to reach the last eight as they take on a Turkey side that they hammered 6-1 in a friendly earlier this year.
Turkey earned six points in the group stages, putting the nightmare of the last European Championships. Their last game against the Czech Republic was a fiery affair and we are hoping that is the case once again. There were 18 yellow cards and two red cards dished out by the referee in that game.
Vincenzo Montella’s side are 10.33 fouls per game in the tournament so far. That’s slightly below the average of 11.16 fouls made by each team but they face an Austria side that loves to get stuck in.
The Austrians are committed to pressing high up the pitch and marking man for man in a bid to win the ball back quickly. This leads to them making a lot of tackles but also a lot fouls. Their average of 16.33 fouls per game is the most in the tournament.
Stefan Posch has been one of the most frequent offenders in terms of fouls for Austria. He made nine fouls across Austria’s three group matches and this bet won in all three. Posch averaged 1.1 fouls per 90 for Bologna in Serie A last season but he appears more willing to get stuck in for the national team.
Recommended Bet: Over 1.5 fouls for Stefan Posch at 1.88
